One thing I love about SEAsia is that despite its reputation as an affordable destination, popular among the backpacker clique, it’s still a never ending playground for those of us looking to indulge in some luxury.  Vietnam is a common SEAsia destination because in additon to the amazing culture and adventure it offers, it’s very budget friendly.  However, Vietnam’s new playground, Thua Thien Hue Province, is showing a new side to the country.

The newest addition to my hotel bucket list is the Banyan Tree Lang Co.  Located in the tranquil southern coast of Vietnam near Lang Cô Bay, Banyan Tree Lang Co is an all-pool villa resort surrounded by the Truong Son Mountain Range, spectacular national parks and awe-inspiring UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

The resort, set on a magnificent sandy beach on a crescent bay, offers several villa options from hidden Lagoon Pool Villas to expansive Hillside Pool Villas with private terraces that gaze out over the mountains and ocean.  Each villa has a pool perfect for relaxing and tanning without having to deal with crowds on the beach.

The resort is also home to 5 delicious restaurants such as Water Court for Vietnamese, Saffron for Thai, Thu Quan for light snacks and cocktails and the beach and pool side Azura for Italian fare.  If you can’t bear to tear yourself away from your villa, the staff is more than happy to serve you with your own private in-villa barbeque.

However it’s not the food that has my attention, it’s the amazing Banyan Tree Spa Lang Co and the stunning beach that have me in a hurry to buy a flight post haste!  Nourishing massages, expertly blended treatments, and snorkeling and parasailing on the waves of the East Sea.  What more could anyone need?!

Everything about the Banyan Tree Lang Co in Vietnam gives me the swoons.  Here’s hoping one day I get to check a review of this luxurious property of my bucket list.
