Ask anyone in South Africa and they’ll tell you that when it comes to luxury, no place does it like the One&Only Cape Town.  One&Only Cape Town boasts the ultimate city setting, nestled a short walk from the trendy Victoria & Alfred Waterfront district, near the best nightlife, entertainment and shopping, yet somehow managing to still be remote.  It is a stunning self-contained oasis that features both the main hotel, comprising of 131 rooms, and a separate, private island resort featuring 40 villa suites, surrounded by a man-made marina.  Easy to see why it was voted Africa’s Best Hotel by Conde Nast Traveler in 2014.

One&Only Cape Town’s plans for you are clear from the moment you arrive. Gracious doormen greet you at the entrance and an amazing staff gets you comfortable right away with a refreshing drink as you take notice of the discreetly placed pictures urging you to “Have a One&Only Experience,” and the view of the majestic Table Mountain from the Vista Bar & Lounge encourages the same.

As you head to your room, the experience begins to take shape.  Calming views of the property grounds are only matched by the humbling sight of Table Mountain from your private balcony.  The rest of the room, and its amenities, are just as amazing.  From complimentary wi-fi and a multi-media entertainment center, to Charlotte Rhys bath products for use in the large soaking tub and 24-hour butler service, you will not be disappointed.

The rest of One&Only Cape Town aims to please as well. Enjoy the kisses of the South African sun as you lounge by the 350-square-meter free-form, heated infinity-edge pool. When you’re done tanning, cross the bridge and enter an oasis within an oasis, the One&Only Cape Town Spa. Enjoy signature experiences designed to unwind, restore and elevate your spirit or indulge in a synchronized massage for your arms and legs at the Studio by Bastien Gonzalez, before taking a dip in one of two 200-square-foot vitality pools.

You don’t have to go far to experience some of Cape Town’s best cuisine. World-class chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa’s renowned restaurant Nobu calls the One&Only home and uses South African seafood and indigenous spices to give a contemporary spin to Japanese cuisine. Directly across from Nobu is chef Reuben Riffel’s award winning Ruben’s which not only boasts a delicious brasserie menu, but a wine loft which offers more than 5,000 bottles and 80 wines by the glass.

    1. Nadeen you must try it when you go back! Not only was the hotel amazing, but the staff and service were top notch as well. I was a bit sad on my birthday after plans fell through and the Front Desk Manager sent me champagne with a little gift and the sweetest note. I was appreciative I was in tears! lol
