As a jetsetter I believe that you can never have enough gear, so my constant hunt for products that will enhance my travel life often leads me to hidden gems.  Enter the amazing Gia Rodriguez and her beautifully crafted handbags and accessories.  What makes Gia and her bags different is that unlike some other brands, Gia’s luxurious leather bags are handcrafted right here in the United States, but inspired by her personal world travels and designed to address the need for stand out accessories that add a special something to every outfit, yet are functional enough to meet the demands of modern life.

Gia started designing leather accessories about 3 years ago, but 2 years ago learned about a program for leather craftsmen while visiting Florence and was invited to train with their master craftsmen.  She spent the latter part of 2014 in Florence at the Scuola del Cuoio, honing her craft, and the result of that experience is what Gia now uses in building the pieces for her travel collection. Gia pours every element of her travel adventures into her bags and from the textures to the colors, you feel like you’ve taken the journey with her.

There’s an energy I feel when I travel, especially to an uncharted locale.  I’m not exactly sure how to characterize it other than electricity.  Senses are heightened…it’s a fusion of sounds, smells, sights that energize and mesmerize. ~ Gia Rodriquez

My two favorite bags from the collection are The Weekender. Perfect for those quick getaways.

And the Hamilton Tote inspired by the paradise that is Curacao.

If you’re looking for stylish travel bags to add to your jetset collection, trust me when I say that you simply must get your hands on a bag from the Gia Rodriguez collection.  You won’t be sorry!
