The weather in New York was frightful this weekend, which left plenty of time for me to daydream about which heavenly destination I’d like to hit for my upcoming birthday in the Spring.  I was getting bored with my finds when a little ray of sunshine shined light on the glory that is Indura Beach & Golf Resort.

A hidden slice of paradise, Indura Beach & Golf Resort is located on Bahia de Tela, along the northern coast of Honduras. The resort is easily accessible from San Pedro Sula International and La Ceiba International Airport; which are both 50 minutes away.

Indura’s lush tropical landscape boasts 60 junior suites that are scattered in 15 villas, interconnected by footpaths that meander to pristine beach.  There are also 5 restaurants cooking up authentic dishes borrowed from the Garifuna and South American cultures,  an 18-hole, Gary Player-designed golf course, a 1,500 square foot fitness center, several swimming pools, the Bayu-Bayu Kids and Teen Club and the aromatic sanctuary that is Maina Spa.

Whether you’re coming for relaxation and romance or a quick getaway with the kids, Indura Beach clearly has something for everyone.  One of the best parts is that Indura provides luxury around every corner without breaking the bank.  Jr. Suites with tropical views can start just under $200 a night, and for that price Indura is sure to help push Honduras to the top of everyone’s travel wish list.

The more I look at these photos, the more I think Honduras and Indura are next up on my luxe #WhispererTravels list.  I hope my friends are ready, because this birthday getaway is going to be an adventure in paradise!
